Raised in Brampton Ontario Canada, David received a scholarship "based on potential" into the prestigious Ryerson Theatre School in Toronto, where he portrayed Henry V in his graduate production directed by John Neville . Upon graduation he returned back to his hometown where he had a brief stint as a ninth grade Math and Geography teacher. He quickly returned to entertainment, hosting "Video & Arcade Top 10" (1991), a popular kid's game show in Canada, but left after two seasons when asked to enter the esteemed Stratford Festival Conservatory. This led to the next three years acting in The Stratford Festival Company, where he performed in eight classical plays in front of audiences of thousands. For his accomplishments he was award ed both a Tyrone Guthrie Award from Stratford, and a Citizen Arts Acclaim Award from his hometown. Returning to Toronto, his professional theatre career continued with such roles Estragon in Waiting For Godot, Hamlet in Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead, Sebastian in Twelfth Night, Daniel in The Complete Works of William Shakespeare Abridged, and Gerry in Dancing at Lughnasa. He also continued his studies in classical theatre and directing with the Soulpepper Theatre Company. As well, he was the lead in the independent film "Winter" which he also produced, and the successful short "The Black Shell". Moving to Los Angeles in 2008, David founded the Icebox Theatre Company and directed the well-received play Problem Child that featured Christopher Redman , and Marguerite Moreau and then immediately began landing large roles in many independent movies. In addition to his acting career, he also is a producer with 'Stardust Pictures'.

Is a graduate from the Stratford Conservatory for Classical Theatre training.David was the visual effects acting partner for Eric Bana in "The Time Traveler's Wife", acting opposite Eric and Rachel McAdams in any scene where there was more than one of Eric Bana's character Henry DeTamble - then edited out in post production so it appears Eric is talking to himself.
